Remaining committed to your fitness routine can be difficult when you travel. It’s hard to know what to expect from the hotels you’ll be staying in. Try to get an idea of where you’ll be prior to departing. You’ll want to know if you have access to a gym and if not, you’ll want to plan your hotel workout so you can be sure you don’t miss the exercise that keeps you physically and mentally healthy.
When your hotel has a fitness center or a gym, you can probably spend some time getting a workout in. There’s usually a treadmill or two, and sometimes you’ll have other cardio equipment and even weights. If your hotel does not provide a gym, find out what you can do in the area. Perhaps there’s a pool where you can swim some laps or an outdoor area where you can jog or take a well-paced walk.
