Implement A Coding Assessment Test Into The Hiring Process

Thousands of careers require programming experience and skills. Unfortunately, most candidates will claim to have experience with coding in a given language. That doesn’t always end up being the reality these days, though. A coding assessment test should be implemented in the hiring process. These assessments test an interviewees skills on a given language. Therefore, they can be graded on whether they know their coding skills or not.
Obviously, candidates that pass the assessment should be advanced in the hiring process. Anyone that doesn’t pass the assessment should be disqualified in the process. Assessments are relatively quick and highly effective at gauging general abilities. Without a doubt, an assessment makes sense for companies of all sizes that need to hire a programmer. It’s better to confirm one’s abilities rather than hiring them without proper vetting. Too many issues arise in skipping the assessment phase.
